ヨーロピアンビアスターアワード2011

2011年ヨーロピアンビアスターアワード(European Beer Star Award)において、COEDO漆黒-Shikkoku-が黒ビール部門（Bohemian Style Schwarz）の金メダルを受賞しました！

COEDOにとっては、2009年の紅赤-Beniaka-の銀メダル（スペシャルビール部門）、2010年の紅赤-Beniaka-金メダル（スペシャルビール部門）及び伽羅-Kyara-の銀メダル（メルツェン部門）に続き３年連続での入賞となり、ヨーロッパのビール界に日本の高品質なクラフトビールの存在認知をあげるきっかけとなりました。主催者からの総評として、「受賞者のうち圧倒的大多数は職人気質と原材料への格別のこだわりによって醸造されている中小規模のビール会社である。」とマイクロブルワリーのクラフトマンシップを賞賛する言葉がありました。

European Beer Star Awardはドイツを中心としたヨーロッパの小規模醸造者（クラフトビール）協会が主催し、年に一度開催される欧州最大のビールコンテストで、49のビール のカテゴリーごとに、金銀銅メダル獲得を競います。8回目の開催となった2011年度は過去最大規模で、ドイツを含む39カ国から1113のビールが出品され、26カ国から選出の98名のビールの専門家達がブラインドテストで審査を行いました。このアワードは、毎年、出品数、参加国、審査員数が増え規模が拡大しており、コエドビールは2009年、2010年に続き、3回目の出品になります。

COEDO漆黒-Shikkoku-について

艶やかな黒色と茶白色の細やかな泡立ちのコントラストが冴えるラガータイプの長期熟成黒ビール。2種のブラックモルトと6種の麦芽の配合で、重すぎないまろやかさと軽やかさのバランスの取れた芳ばしいローストが心地よい。カカオの芳ばしさを感じるチョコレート、クルミのようなナッツなどスイーツとも相性が良い。

　出品者は49のビールのカテゴリーごとに各自の製品をエントリーし、世界26カ国から選出された、権威　あるビール専門家98名の審査員によってブラインドテストで行なわれた評価を集計し、金メダル「Gold Award」、銀メダル「Silver Award」、銅メダル「Bronze Award」が競われる。2011年公表データによると、世界39カ国から1113品が出品された。

　2011年10月7日に審査会、2011年11月10日授賞式（ドイツ・ニュルンベルグ、ビール醸造機器展ブラウビバイレ会場　http://www.brau-beviale.de/ )が行われた。

European Beer Star Award 2011

Craft Beer Brand COEDO awarded Gold medal in Black Beer category (Bohemian style Schwarz) for its COEDO漆黒-Shikkoku- in European Beer Star Award 2011.

For COEDO, it is the third consecutive year winning, following the Silver medal for 紅赤-Beniaka- in special beer category (2009) and Gold medal for 紅赤-Beniaka- in special beer category and Silver medal for 伽羅-Kyara- in German Style Marzen (2010). Also, this could be a trigger to widen the recognition of Japanese premium craft beer in European beer world. There is a general comment from organizer praising the craftsmanship of microbrewery saying ‘Overwhelming majority of the prize winners are microbreweries who are brewing beers with their craftsmanship and their commitment to the quality of raw materials’.

European Beer Star Award is the biggest annual beer competition in Europe held by association of microbreweries in Europe mainly from Germany. In this competition, breweries compete for winning Gold, Silver or Bronze Medals in 49 beer categories. This year 2011 is its 8^th opening and was the biggest event ever since it started. This time 1113 beers entered the competition from 39 countries including Germany and the beers were examined with blind-test by 98 of beer specialists selected from 26 countries. This award expands its scale, the number of competitors, countries and examiners and COEDO entered the award for the third time following 2009 and 2010.

3. Beer Profile

An aged dark lager with a glossy black that contrasts　with the light brown head. The combination of the two types of black malts (Black & Chocolate malts) with six types of malts creates a pleasant aromatic roast that is light ,smooth and mild drinkable dark beer. Fragrant coffee or chocolate aroma is comfortable.

4. Evaluation Method

Competitors enter their products to 49 beer categories. The beers are blind tested by highly authorized 98 beer specialist selected from 26 countries. The test results are counted and Gold medal, Silver medal and Bronze medal are competed. 2011 released date shows 1113 beers from 39 countries were entered.
